RUTH B. DEVRIES (NEE BOSS) SOUTH HOLLAND, IL Ruth B. DeVries, age 78, of South Holland, IL, passed away on Thursday, February 10, 2011. Beloved wife of John K. DeVries; loving mother of Chris (Frank) Venhuizen, John P. (Alva) DeVries, Charles (Ruth) DeVries, Brian (Deb) DeVries, Cheryl (Gary) Huizenga and Roger (Kerrie) DeVries; cherished grandmother of 21 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and dear sister of Gordon (Rita) Boss and Kenneth (Margie) Boss. Visitation Monday, February 14, 2011 from 3:00-8:00 PM at the Cottage Grove Christian Reformed Church, 16556 Cottage Grove Ave., South Holland, IL. Funeral service Tuesday, February 15, 2011 at 11:30 AM at Cottage Grove Christian Reformed Church with services conducted by Rev. Richard Zekveld and Dr. Joel Nederhood. Private interment at Fairmont Willow Hills Memorial Park, Willow Springs, IL. Mrs. DeVries was a member and former church secretary for 27 years at Cottage Grove Christian Reformed Church and served the Village of South Holland as the Village Clerk for 23 years. Memorials may be given to Bibles for Missions Thrift Center, 2821 Highway Ave., Highland, IN 46322 or the Back to God Ministries International, 6555 W. College Dr., Palos Heights, IL 60443.
