RUTH B. DEVRIES (NEE BOSS) SOUTH HOLLAND, IL Ruth B. DeVries, age 78, of South Holland, IL, passed away on Thursday, February 10, 2011. Beloved wife of John K. DeVries; loving mother of Chris (Frank) Venhuizen, John P. (Alva) DeVries, Charles (Ruth) DeVries, Brian (Deb) DeVries, Cheryl (Gary) Huizenga and Roger (Kerrie) DeVries; cherished grandmother of 21 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and dear sister of Gordon (Rita) Boss and Kenneth (Margie) Boss. Visitation Monday, February 14, 2011 from 3:00-8:00 PM at the Cottage Grove Christian Reformed Church, 16556 Cottage Grove Ave., South Holland, IL. Funeral service Tuesday, February 15, 2011 at 11:30 AM at Cottage Grove Christian Reformed Church with services conducted by Rev. Richard Zekveld and Dr. Joel Nederhood. Private interment at Fairmont Willow Hills Memorial Park, Willow Springs, IL. Mrs. DeVries was a member and former church secretary for 27 years at Cottage Grove Christian Reformed Church and served the Village of South Holland as the Village Clerk for 23 years.
