Dearest Ariane,
My thoughts and prayers are with you. I always enjoyed sharing small moments with you both- I always felt the two of you... were as one....
I have been on the Wine Spectator website and so enjoyed the video on your lifetime achievement award and all the amazing news clips about your life together to writing about food- and as the gentlemen at the awards show stated "you were ahead of your time".
Blessings to your this day.
Thoughtfully,
Cheryl

Michael Batterberry lives through the world of food and wherever good food, meaningful conversations and mindful living are of importance. Ariane and Michael gave love and life wherever they found themselves.
Whoever met them was changed at once. Changed for a lifetime to do with passion and love what they worked to do.
Michael shall live in whatever it is that Ariane continues to do. They had a relationship that would have made celestial couples proud. Together they were magical and even individually just as brilliant.
They knew how best to show each other off, and also to be supportive in silence when that showed one or the other or both in better light. What a couple, what a pair of visionaries.
As I mourn Michael, I also celebrate his life, that of Ariane and what they have given the world as their legacy.
It will shine, inspire and inspirit many of us for many decades and more.
Wishing strength for the family, for the staff of Food Arts and for all that are mourning this tragic loss.
With sympathy and in deep mourning,
Suvir Saran and Charlie Burd
