FRED FISHMAN Obituary
died June 5, 2018 at age 92. Beloved husband of the late Claire Powsner Fishman, mother of Robert (Stacey Scott Fishman) and Nancy (Nina Otis Haft), and enthusiastic grandfather of Evan and Tyler. Fred was an active Harvard '46 alum, Harvard Law School '48 alum, former president of the Harvard Law School Association, and honorary lifetime trustee and former board co-chair of Lawyers' for Civil Rights Under Law. Originally from Brooklyn, he graduated from Boys High, clerked for Supreme Court Justice Felix Frankfurter, and was partner and former chairman of the executive committee of Kaye Scholer LLP. Services Friday, June 8 at 11:30am at "The Riverside," 180 West 76th St. at Amsterdam Avenue. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Lawyers' Committee for Civil Rights Under Law or Harvard Law School.

Youv've lost a wonderful father and valued member of the community. My thoughts are with you in this time of sadness.Those of us who have been lucky enough to have had our fathers with us for so much of out adult lives are so fortunate.
