LYDIA PITTARI Obituary

PITTARI--Lydia Valle, was born on August 14, 1912 and passed away April 6, 2010. Lydia was born to Frank and Angela Valle in New York City. She grew up in the City with her brother Mario and after she graduated high school she studied opera and performed in many operas at "The Met" and in radio musicals. Lydia and her family traveled frequently to Italy and on one the trips she met and fell in love with an Italian Pediatrician, Giuseppe (Joe) Pittari. Lydia and Joe were married in Italy and lived in Milan throughout the War. After World War II, Lydia and Joe frequently traveled to the United States. In 1979 Joe passed away and after burying him in his native Sicily, Lydia returned permanently to the United States. She resided in Miami in the Marjorca Towers and then moved to the Palace of Kendall where she resided until the time of her death. The family would like to thank the owners and staff of The Palace for making Lydia's final journey extremely comfortable and care free. The family would also like to especially thank her primary care giver, Nivian Rodriguez, for her timeless hours and efforts to maintain Lydia's lifestyle and comfort level to maximum degree. Lydia leaves countless friends and children of friends in New York City and Miami. She is survived by her loving family, nephew Larry (Carole) Valle, Chris (Debbie) Valle, Stacia (Christopher) Cannon and Bryce and Vincent Valle. The family will celebrate Lydia's full life in a private memorial and requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the charity of your choice.
