Died February 26, 2018 at age 92. Emeritus Professor of English at Hunter College and CUNY Graduate Center, beloved mother of Thomas, Charles and Susan Danziger and grandmother of James, Benno, Andrew, Katie, Michael, and Peter. Predeceased by husband Erwin. She will be greatly missed.

I was very sorry to hear of Marlies's passing. She was a very kind woman who tried to help me get a job at one of the colleges when I was a graduate student of a certain age in early 1980. I hope you find comfort in your memories of her.
