JOHN HERNDON Obituary

HERNDON--John Joyce Carter, died peacefully April 15, 2014 in Picton, Ontario. Leaving behind his much loved wife Tidi, his stepson sons Andrea and Silvio Pinto and their families. He is predeceased son John Hearst Herndon. John, had a very full life; graduated with high honors from Yale, a vet of the war of Korea, worked for City Bank, Rheen International which became City Investing. Later he became commissioner of Agriculture of Connecticut under governor Lowell Weicker and was a very successful Breeder of Angus. He retired in Ontario Canada to enjoy a rural life and bred more Angus. He will be remembered by numerous friends in all parts of the world and will never be forgotten by his beloved wife and all their pets. Donations if desired, go ASPCA and the Humane Society.
