I am deeply saddened by Larry's passing. I envied his positive attitude and desire to help others confront adversity with the same grace that he did. Never saw him down as he continued to do the things he loved to do and encourage others to do the same. I will miss talking with him.

Hello, I am Larrys only grandchild, Jude. I have a lot of fantastic memories with my grandfather and his death has been quite devistating. I will be typing up all the comments here for my grandma, Myrna. These comments mean a lot to all of us. Thank you from the bottom of the Goodman familys hearts.

Mention in Larry's NYT obit that he was a voracious reader brought back to memory my sitting 2 seats away from Larry in the back row of Dr. Garcia's French class in what was my Junior Year and Larry's Senior Year at Horace Mann, looking over to Larry from time to time and, with amusement, seeing him reading a Thomas Mann novel while class was going on. I am saddened by Larry's passing, but glad that he is at peace now.
He was smart, thoughtful and kind. The dry witted fun guy who slept in a tent in Lake Placid and enjoyed life.
He beat me in trivia matches but I should have seen that coming. He impressed me with his dedication to learning and mastering the piano.
But mostly what I will remember and always be thankful for, was how Larry loved all my children and grandchildren. He was an inspiration, a role model, and a wonderful uncle to all. Kind, funny, loving, generous, smart and inspirational. The consummate uncle.
He will live on in the lives of those
he touched and will always be remembered by those of us who loved him.
Rest in peace my friend.

Larry loved the New York Times Crosswords, and had a great sense of humor.

Larry Goodman was a wonderful mentor to a young attorney just starting her career. He was a truly brilliant man and a terrific person. Judy Coulston
