Bert Herbert Obituary
Bert Herbert, Jr., 85, of Ocala, FL passed away in Ocala on Wednesday, June 22, 2011. Born on September 29, 1925 in Vanderbilt, PA, son of the late Bert and Agnes Pauline (Herbert) Herbert, Sr. he moved to Ocala from Naples, FL in 2001, after 32 years living there. He was a WWII veteran of the United States Navy. Bert retired from the U.S Postal Service as a letter carrier in 1988 with 20 years service in Naples, FL .He was a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post#7721, Golden Gate, FL. Bert was a 32nd Degree Mason. He was an avid hunter, golfer and sports enthusiast. Bert was a member of South Pointe Baptist Church of Leesburg. He was a caring individual to all he met. Bert was also preceded in death by his 3 brothers and 1 sister. He is survived by his Loving wife of 62 years, Beatrice "Bea" Herbert, Ocala, son Michael Herbert (Joyce) of Ocala; daughters Sandy Early of Leesburg and Debbie Munro of Fort Myers; grandchildren Kim (Ty), Mitchell (Jazmin), Lindsey and Holly; great-grandchildren Parker, Antonio and Nathan; sister Ruby Jean Welling of, Livonia, MI and many nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, July 11, 2011 at 11:00AM in the TimberRidge Chapel of Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, 9695 SW 110th St. Ocala. Urn committal will follow at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL with full military honors. Memorial contributions in His Memory may be made to Legacy Hospice House, 9505 SW 110th St. Ocala, FL. 34481. Condolences may be expressed to www.hiers-baxley.com.
