Luke Tarquin Obituary
Luke E Tarquin 96 of Ocala, Florida passed away on July 24, 2011 at his residence in Ocala. He retired and moved to Ocala in 1981 from Medina, New York. Luke volunteered for 16 years at the 8th Ave Senior Center and established the Ocala Center Stage Band. His survivors include: his spouse of 48 yrs Henrietta Tarquin of Ocala. His two sons: Luke C of Macclenny Florida and David E Tarquin of Buffalo, NY. Two daughters: Deborah Schwertfeger of Buffalo NY and Kathleen Charman of Ocala, Fl. Seventeen grandchildren and 35 great grandchildren. Three brothers: John, Al and Bruce Tarquin. Three sisters: Marie Bickel, Gloria Phillips and Grace Kirpoe. He is preceded in death by his 2 sons: John P Tarquin and Mark J. Tarquin, and daughter Judy Tarquin all of Buffalo, NY. Luke played piano by ear and always said "Hum a few bars and I'll fake it." A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, August 6, 2011 at 1:00 P.M. to 4:00 p.m. at his residence in Ocala. Memorial contributions can be made to Hospice of Marion County.

i miss my grampa dearly he was always so full of life i was so proud to have him as my grampa him and my dad r now together in heaven and days goes bye and i miss them more with each passing day i love them more than life my two fav men in my world

Brother Luke and I shared laughs, music & song when I visited the Ocala area. We are as proud as he was for the opportunity to play in the Jazz Concert with the Ocala Philharmonic Orchestra. We will meet again!

The "Rhythm Rangers" has also lost a good friend. We had many good times at the retirement homes around town. He will be missed by us.

I remember my Uncle Luke as a man who always had a smile on his face and he was full of joy. My sympathies to Aunt Hank and my cousins.
