GUERREIN, MARCELINE A. "MARCE" SWANTEK, 90
Ocala - Marce Guerrein, 90, of Ocala, FL is hiking the trails of heaven after leaving here on Saturday, December 8, 2012.
Per her wishes, her cremated remains will continue her journey on earth and in heaven, to eventually rest in Michigan near her parents. She traveled the world as a hiker including the Himalayas, Alps, and a 4,300 mile cross country journey with "HikaNation." She was nicknamed "Mountain Woman" as a thru hiker on the Appalachian Trail where she completed over 2,000 miles. Marce was a Colorado Trail volunteer/crew leader and finished the first-ever thru hike as part of the "Trail-A-Bration."
An outdoor enthusiast, she was a remarkable woman of her era and a woman of many accomplishments. Well into her '80's, she loved and excelled in sewing, quilting, crafts, crossword puzzles, bridge, tennis, ping pong, swimming and staying active, both mentally and physically. Locally, she also performed with the "Doll-Fins", a synchronized swim team and enjoyed a game of bocce now and then.
She is loved and deeply missed by all who knew her, including her five children, three grandchildren, a sister, brother and a "granddog" and "grandcats."
