Freddie Shephard Obituary
He was born in Eufala, Alabama, but has been a resident of Ohio for over 50 years. He was a member of True Deliverance Missionary Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his father, Sterling Shephard Sr., and his sister, Ethel Shephard. He leaves to cherish his memory, a devoted wife of 36 years, Earnestine Shephard; sons, Fred (Theresa) Shephard Jr., Anthony Shephard, Timothy (Linda) Shephard, Eric Shephard and Jasper Smith; daughters, Marie Shephard and Colesia May; mother, Susie Shephard; brothers, Sterling (Sonya) Shephard Jr., Lee (Flora) Shephard; sisters, Betty (Rev. George) McNab and Roberta (Robert) Shoates. He has 17 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, uncles, aunts and friends.
Funeral services will be held Monday, June 14, 2010 at 11:30 a.m. at Mount Zion Baptist Church, 327 Cuyahoga St. Akron, Ohio 44310. Friends may call at the church on Monday at 10:30 a.m. until time of service. Interment at Western Reserve National Cemetery. Condolences may be sent to 1310 Hartford Ave., Akron, Oh 44320.

I m going to miss him so much. grandpa was more then just my ONLY GRANDFATHER he was the dad that i never had, he raised us and loved us before i evn knew who he was. he has always been there for me when i needed an ear he was my buddy. ima miss his smile and those tight bear hugs that only a grandpa can give and the countless i loves u that made me feel good on a bad day. he always believed in me when i made the most dumbest mistakes im going to miss him from now and the rest of my life.. i keep all of my family in my prayers and i love u all..
