Aaron Nero Obituary

Aaron M. Nero, 36, of Akron, Ohio, died peacefully on June 24th, 2012 at University Hospitals in Cleveland, surrounded by family and in the embrace of loving thoughts from friends around the world.

He attended Coventry Local Schools and Ohio University, and was an active member of the Ohio-Meadville District of the Unitarian Universalist Church in his youth.

He is survived by his mother, Rebecca (Charles) Nassar nee Riggle; father, Gary Nero (Laurel Foot); sister, Sarah (Daniel) Buch and beloved nephew, Stephen; siblings-by-marriage, Amy (Justin) Clark, David (Jessica) Nassar, Mick (Kristin) Foot, and Chrissy (Dave) Foot; uncle, David Nero and family; and grandparents, Robert and Helen Riggle and Evelyn Nero.

He was preceded in death by grandfather, John Nero.

Aaron will be remembered for his playful nature, quick wit, and generosity of spirit. He loved to tell stories, both real and imagined, and although he delighted in fooling the more gullible with his elaborate tales, it was always with the same kindness he exhibited throughout his life. Aaron was known for his keen powers of observation and empathy, and the unique ability to use humor to show others that he loved them just as completely as he saw them.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, July 21st, 2012 at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Akron, 3300 Morewood Road, Akron Ohio, followed by a reception and celebration of Aaron's life. Please dress casually.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that you give blood or send a donation in Aaron's name to the American Red Cross at 501 W. Market Street, Akron, OH 44303.

As you have seen over the past months, Aaron touched many people's lives very deeply.
