Helen E. Froelich

Helen E. Froelich, age 70, of Canton, passed away Saturday, October 5, 2013.

She was born March 2, 1943 in Pittsburgh, Pa., daughter to the late George and Virginia List. Helen was a devoted member of First Friends Church where she had served as secretary and a member of the 50/60 Life Group, Women's Bible Study, Prayer Chain and Ministry Team. She had been a volunteer at Amherst School, member of the Red Hat Society and was a talented painter in one stroke painting.

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Froelich; son, Jeff and brother, Bobby List. Survivors include, three children and their spouses, Kenneth J. and Sally Froelich of Akron, Ohio, Debbie and Colin Christensen of Jackson Township, Ohio, Beth and Eddie Anderson of Salisbury, N.C.; grandchildren, Nicholas Christensen, Kaitlyn Froelich, Chloe Christensen, Andrew Froelich and McKenna Anderson.

Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 11 a.m. in First Friends Church, 5455 Market Ave. North, with Pastor Stan Hinshaw officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Hills Burial Park. Calling hours will be held Monday, from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Reed Funeral Home North Canton Chapel, 801 Pittsburg Ave. NW., as well as one hour prior to the service on Tuesday, from 10 to 11 a.m. in the church. Helen was a perfect wife for my brother Don. I have so many great memories of Thanksgiving gatherings in canton with the whole extended family. I miss them all. RIP.

So sorry to hear of Helen's passing. We only knew Helen and her husband a few years when my husband worked at Marlite with Don but realized what a special couple they were. They were both wonderful, Christian people.

My husband and I are so sorry with Helen's passing. We shared our last goodbyes on Friday evening as we stopped in at Woodlawn.
She was my Red Hat Sister and neighbor. We carpooled for many events and had so many wonderful times... She was the kindest and most gentle lady I ever knew.... One of my favorite memories was when she was a model for me at my home with Red Hat Attire...what fun we had....
