Charles E. (Bud) Barnby, age 78, of Greenback, Tenn., formerly of Akron/Canton, Ohio, passed away 12:45 a.m. Monday, October 1, 2007 at Blount Memorial Hospital.
He was a member of Oakland United Methodist Church in Greenback. He retired from General Tire Co., Akron, Ohio.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara Wolfe Barnby; sons, Ronald Eugene Barnby of Greenback, Michael Edward Barnby; grandchildren, Nicholas Barnby, Eric Barnby, Tyler Barnby, Logan Barnby, all of North Canton, Ohio; sisters, Jean Herzog Schwab of Virginia, Carol Ann Ratcliff of Akron, Ohio; brother, Arthur W. Barnby of Canton, Ohio; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by brother, Herbert E. Barnby.
Funeral 8 p.m. Tuesday, at Biereley-Hale Chapel, Pastor Steve Yeaney officiating. Interment 11 a.m. Wednesday at Oakland United Methodist Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Biereley-Hale Funeral Home, Madisonville, Tenn.
