Harold Wages Obituary
The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 2 p.m. on Friday at Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church.
Mr. Wages was born April 2, 1930, in White Stone, S.C. and was a son of the late Charles Eugene Wages and Mary Henry Wages. He was a graduate of Oakley Hall High School, was a veteran of the U.S. Army and retired from Springs Industries as a supervisor. Mr. Wages was a member of Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church, where he served on numerous committees.
He is survived by his wife of more than 63 years, Ruby Jean Wilburn Wages; one son, Hal Wages and wife Rickey of Chester; one daughter, Debi W. Layton and husband Mike of Chester; five grandchildren, Bert Layton, Haylee Wages, Candice Dellinger, Randi Rogers and Shannon Robinson; one brother, Richard Wages of Leslie; and two sisters, Grace W. Lindsay of Richburg and Ann W. Wright of Chester.
Memorials may be made to Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church, 1217 J.A. Cochran Bypass, Chester, SC 29706; or Hospice Care of S.C., 173 Columbia St., Chester, SC 29706.
