Kenneth Kaelin Obituary

Mr. Kenneth Francis Kaelin Sr., age 86, of Chester, formerly of Brandenburg, Ky., passed away on Wednesday, May 10, 2017, at his home in South Carolina.
Mr. Kaelin was a veteran of the United States Air Force, serving in the Korean Conflict. He attended schools in Louisville, Ky. and was co-owner/operator of Catawba Plastics. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Chester, was an avid golfer and was a member of Chester Golf Club.
Mr. Kaelin was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Agnes Stier Kaelin; his loving wife, Alma Edna (Thompson) Kaelin; and three brothers, Chuck, Jack and Jim Kaelin.
He is survived by eight children, Kerry Kaelin (fiancee' Jessica) and Kory Kaelin (Mara), both of Chester, Kenneth Kaelin Jr. (Diana) of Tilton, Ill., Karen Dubree (Michael) of Shepherdsville, Ky., Kathy Kaelin of Louisville, Ky. and Kim Gregg (Tony), Kara Kenworthy (Scott) and Karla West (Zachary), all of Indianapolis; six sisters, Pat Bender, Clara Watts (Gary), Martha Gray (Bill), Joyce Green, Jay Middleton and Mary Hagan, all of Louisville, Ky.; 25 grandchildren; 31 great- grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, May 14, at the chapel of the Hager Funeral Home in Brandenburg, Ky. with the Rev. Charles White officiating. Burial followed in Cap Anderson Cemetery.
