My Aunt Dolly was one of the most beautiful, smart and kind women I ever knew. I lost touch with her after my father (her cousin) Lester Turner died in 2008. I´m so sorry to read she has passed away. We lost our mother and brother last year. Aunt Dolly has been on my mind. What a beautiful human.

There are moments in life when you wish you could bring someone down from Heaven...and spend the day with them just one more time, give them one more hug, kiss them goodbye or hear their voice again, to hear them laugh just one more time...One more chance to say I Love You.
My mother passed away a year ago. Her family misses her with all their hearts. She is always in our thoughts. Someday we will hear her voice again...it's a promise from our Lord.

My dear Dorothy, I love you and still miss you being with us every day. However, you live on in my heart, mind and hopefully my actions and I know that is true for so many others who love and admire you too. Dorothy was my Grandmother, Friend, Mentor and so much more. There is not one day that goes by where she isn't in my thought and prayers.
She always loved unconditionally and now that she is gone I feel a huge empty hole in my heart.
She guided me towards my career and had so much wisdom, there was never a dull moment!

Aunt Dolly was the most positive person I have ever known. She always had a kind word for everyone. She was a wonderful Wife, Mother, Grandmother and Aunt. Aunt Dolly was also a gracious hostess. If everyone could be like Aunt Dolly the world would be a much better place. What a beautiful legacy she has left her children, grandchildren, family & friends. I love you and will miss you so much.

I have wonderful memories of the years that Dorothy and I served together on the Board of the Apartment Association of Orange County. She was a very special person. I send my heartfelt condolences to her husband, Bob, and to all in her family. She will be greatly missed.

I truly believe Dorothy was sent from Heaven above! I loved her...
She taught me so many wonderful lessons on life and happiness...it's a choice she always said. Today, Heaven is a better place...and we will miss her lovely face! Over the 20 plus years that I knew Dorothy she became a true friend, mentor and confidant. She inspired me with her love for others and her passion to help others to achieve and overcome. Her accomplishments were great but she always held a humble spirit and remained sincere. I had the privilege of painting with Dorothy at Kirk Miller's Art Studio in Tustin. She was an extaordinary woman who could easily add her artistic talent to her long list of strengths. She was so proud of her grandchildren and always shared something special about each. I will miss her wit and know that she now shares a special place in Heaven alongside her Lord and Savior. I met Dorothy Gourley in the early 90's and felt like I was meeting a movie star in the property management business. She lit up a room when she walked in and was a force of positive energy! If she was present at a meeting, you’d hear everyone saying, "Dorothy Gourley is here!" I had the pleasure of seeing her again just a few months ago at a lunch club meeting. She was just as beautiful and spirited as when I first met her. She will be sorely missed but never forgotten.

I have admired Dorothy since the first time we met when she came to LPC to teach telephone techniques! She ignited a spark in me that I did not even know I had. Not only did Dorothy guide me with my career, she was a wonderful friend who was generous with both her love and wisdom. I love you Dorothy.....thank you for being a part of my life.

Dorothy Gourley Shaw was the most amazingly kind, gifted, talented, artistic and loving person I have ever known. She was also the most positive person I have ever know in my life; it was always uplifting just to be around her. She was the catalyst for so many new ideas in both the rental housing industry and also in people's personal lives. She was truly one of the great ladies of the world.
