MARIE GRACE PECE

Pece, Mrie Grace, passed away July 2, 2009 peacefully at home in San Juan Capistrano. "Grace" was born December 21, 1918 in New York. She attended Hunter College and Mount Sinai Hospital School of Nursing and worked primarily with amputees during and after World War II. She met Otto Pece (died 1995), was married in 1947, and moved to Pasadena, California where she worked as an RN at Huntington Hospital. She later worked at L.A. County General Hospital in OBGYN, and after moving to Laguna Niguel, worked in the newborn nursery at South Coast Medical Center. She was an avid bridge player and had many friends at the Laguna Niguel Senior Center where she played. She is survived by her younger sister, Julia Doepp; her son, Bob Pece, and grandson, Any Pece.
