He attended the University of Michigan, graduating with a bachelor of science in zoology before going on to graduate from the Medical College of Ohio, with a degree in medicine. He and his family then moved to California in 1981, where he completed his residency training in psychiatry at UCLA, where he was chief resident. Dr Epps was an awesome young man and left a stellar example of what one can do when your mind is set to the task at hand. Our families lived in the same neighborhood, in Monroe Michigan. Along with his family we are proud of him and the grand legacy he left. In his honor lets keep his forge to reach high and go for the goal by contributing to his Doctor Marvin Epps scholarship education fund. Marvin our hats off to you. Heaven is smiling and so are we:):):)

I worked with Dr. Epps years ago at Alondra Crest Hosp. On many ocassions he encouraged me not only in the area of my nursing skills but with personal situations regarding my ailing mother out of state. He was always available and approachable. Respect is a word to describe how I felt about him and what he showed to al others. thank you Dr. Epps.
Sincere sympathy to your family. Judi Kurtovich, Long Beach, CA
