Raul also leaves behind his mother, Carmen Tallabas; brothers, Cosmo Tallabas, Ray Oropeza, Tom Oropeza; sisters in law, Mary Tallabas, Loretta Oropeza and Adrianna Oropeza; 33 nieces and nephews; and many extended family members. Raul was born in Donna, Texas and raised in Santa Ana, Ca. He served in the U.S. Army from 1967-1970 with overseas tours in Vietnam and Germany. He retired in 2002 after 35 years in the Home Center Business and for the past 5 years has owned and operated Homestead Paint in Mission Viejo. He traveled the world over the years, but preferred home and family. Now we give him back to God, and treasure our memories forever. Rest in peace, my love. Dear Tallabas Family, It is with great sadness I read this obituary. ... Raul was such a impressive and compassionate person to me, though I only met him a few times he showed such kindness to his uncle Tomas's daughter. I wish that we could have gotten to know each other better as friends/family. I pray that the upcoming season and anniversary of his passing bring memories filled with love, compassion and happiness of the man you knew so well. Sincerest Condolences.....Tommie Vera
