So sad to learn that Nick has passed. I had many fond memories of Nick while growing up, attending the family get-togethers with my family . God bless all the family and those who loved him - he was a great guy!

Uncle Nick was well known in the Sports Arena in Portland. He is a member of the Oregon Sports Hall of Fame.

Today was a beautiful day for a service for a beautiful man. As we drove up to Holy Family Catholic Church the sidewalks were lined with many American Vets each holding an American Flag, which brought us to tears. Our hearts are sad, but full of Love for Uncle Nick. As a child I remember growing up on the Softball Fields and going to the games to watch my Dad and Uncles play. Uncle Nick had a powerful swing at bat. Those games were always a family event of which I will never forget. I am so Blessed & God has placed me well, to be a member of this strong, loving & crazy Italian Family. When I said my last Good-bye to Uncle Nick, I told him, "I Love you." He said, "I Love you too." I said, "I love you more!" And then he looked at me and smiled, and said, "I don't think so!" That memory will always be with me. Miss you already Uncle Nick.

My Uncle Nick was one of six kids that I was lucky enough to have as role models growing up. He was rock solid, old school, and one of the strongest men I've ever met.

I'll always remember as a kid how he would do push ups with not one, but a few of us kids on his back. And he never tired of it.

His home in SW Portland was a place where I loved to go in the Summer and on Thanksgiving - he kept a perfect yard and had a water feature where I could play all day long - and as messy as we were in that immaculate yard - he never minded - just as long as we were having fun.

I'm thankful for all the memories and will miss you Uncle Nick!

My Dad. One of the most loving and compassionate people you could ever meet. Don't know that I can ever recover from this loss. I will greatly miss sitting on the patio with him and singing together along with the oldies radio songs. Thanks Dad for giving me a great life.
