Dorothy Marsh Obituary

MARSH, DOROTHY A., passed away June 7, 2011, due to a long and complicated illness. She is preceded in death by her mother, Josephine Beil and sister, Catherine Davis. She is survived by her three sons, Thomas, Timothy and Anthony Marsh; her brothers:
Michael, William, Edward, Francis, Raymond and Joseph; her sisters, Jeanette Cavone and Margaret Van Deven; her loving and devoted companion of 35 years, Lynn
Gellner, her sister-in-Christ, Sandra Sumerlin, extended family; Barry and Janet McKnight and Aunt Carrie of Wing, AL. Dottie was a very shy and quiet person who thought not of herself, but of her many friends and family. She was a great cook and baker. She loved to garden and took much pride in her rose garden. She kept her mind sharp with games of Sudoku and crossword puzzles. She loved all animals but her heart was devoted to her amazon, "Green Bird". Lynn and Dottie would like to thank her many friends and co-workers at Florida Hospital, especially the nurses and staff of the fourth floor of VTICU/CRCU. Also, her nephrologist and friend, Dr. Uday K. Ranjit. Everyone who was with her for the past five weeks of her life gave 300 percent to her cure. Dottie's family appreciates the love and compassion given to her. Dottie made such an impact on so many people in her life and many have shown their love and support. Lynn and Sandy would like to give a very heartfelt thank you to Don Hodnett and friends of The Bird Store for what you did for her and us. The memorial for Dottie will be held on Saturday, June 18, 2011 at Woodlawn Funeral Home, 400 Woodlawn Cemetery Rd., Gotha, FL 34734. The viewing will be at 9 a.m. and service at 10 a.m., officiated by close friend and Pastor, Gilbert
Gutierrez. GOD SAW YOU God saw you were getting tired, And a cure was not to be, So He put His arms around you, And Whispered, "Come with Me", With tearful eyes we watched you, And saw you pass away. Although we loved you dearly, We could not make you stay. A golden heart stopped beating, Hard working hards to rest. God broke our hearts to prove to us, He takes only the best. DOTTIE, WE LOVE YOU. Arrangements entrusted to Woodlawn Memorial Park and Funeral Home.

Dot was a bright light that shined on the unit where we worked. I have fond memories of much fun, laughter, hard work, sweat and tears. With Dot, you knew the work would get done. She loved and took great care of her patients. Her Earthly light may have gone out, but her Heavenly light shines brigtly in our hearts forever. Thank you for sharing her with us dear Lord.
