Leamon Hall Obituary

HALL, SR., LEAMON LAMAR, 78, of Cumming, GA went to be with the Lord on May 17, 2011. Born in Samson, AL he was the son of the late Ernest and Willie Hall. Leamon was a devoted husband and father whose life was characterized by service for his God and Country. After serving in the US Navy during the Korean War. he faithfully served his Lord in the Baptist Church for over 50 years. His friends and family best characterize him as a selfless man with a servant's heart. He was a gifted machinist and manager for the Orlando Sentinel Star where he retired in 1997 after 38 years. He enjoyed spending quiet time with his family and he loved the outdoors especially fishing and gardening. Leamon Sr. is survived by his beloved wife of 56 years, Juanita Lee Hall of Cumming, GA; son and daughter-in-law, Leamon L. and Kim Hall, Jr. of Johns Creek, GA; daughter, Sharon H. Wilson of Johns Creek, GA, Tom Wilson of Merritt Island; son, Ren S. Hall and Maryjo Carlson, of Alpharetta, GA; grandchildren, Kristen Wilson (Michael) Gay, Nathaniel and Rachel Wilson and Taylor and Shelby Hall; great-grandson, Jackson Gay. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, May 22, 2011 at First Baptist Church of Cumming. Interment will follow at Sawnee View Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Saturday, May 21 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests consideration of contributions to Bay Street Baptist Church, 1806 S Bay St., Eustis, FL 32726 or Compassionate Care Hospice, 4340 Georgetown Square, Suite 608, Atlanta, GA 30338. Nita and family, I can't tell you how sad I am at Lemons passing. I am really glad that I got to talk with him one last time. He was always a great friend, teacher and mentor to me.
