MARY VILLWOCK Obituary

VILLWOCK, MARY PRESTON, 99, a long time resident of Winter Park, died on May 17, 2011. She moved to Winter Park in 1958 with her husband, Byron, and was active over the years in various charities and clubs. She was a "pink" lady at the Winter Park Hospital in the 1960's and also helped with the White Elephant sales sponsored by the Winter Park Hospital Auxiliary. She was a member of the Winter Park Presbyterian Church and a member or formerly a member of the Winter Park Racquet Club, the Rosalind Club, the Council of 101 of the Orlando Museum of Art, the Woman's Club, the Town Club and the Morse Museum. She was predeceased by her husband, Byron, and is survived by her two sons, Art (Rosemary) and John. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews, Jane Evans Jones, Bob Evans, John Henry, Mecca Preston Hawkins and Rhea Preston. A memorial service will be held at the Mayflower Retirement Center in Winter Park at 10 a.m. on Friday, May 20. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Carey Hand Cox-Parker Funeral Home.
