Nancy,
I was hired by Charlie at National and after several years he was also my last boss. I am sadden by his passing and want you and your family to know that last Sunday I prayed for all of you at Mass. May he be in heaven with the rest of the National Airlines group

Nancy, there are no words to express the shock and deep sadness in the 'earthly' loss of a kind, caring and 'gentle man'. His entrance into a room with his tanned complexion wearing his 'yellow jacket' (only man who could still fit into it) just radiated not only the surroundings but also his personality! The heavens will glow with his presence. May God hold you and yours in His graces.

I have a lot of good memories of growing up next door to the Unser family. I am very saddened to hear about Mr. Unser's passing. I remember him being a very kind neighbor, who, along with Mrs. Unser, raised two very nice gentlemen - Ken and Don.

Charlie Unser was a role model to me when I was a teenager and so was he. I thought so much of this dear person that I asked him to be my godfather when I became Catholic in 1950. We worked together at McCarter's Dairy and we grew to adulthood at a great time and in St. Augustine and I thank God for having Charlie as a big part of my life when we were in high school and beyond. Malinda and I send our deepest condolences to dear, dear Nancy and the children and grandchildren and all who loved Charlie. God Bless and we will see you on Wednesday. Bobby & Mindy

Nancy, Ken and Don: We were so saddened to hear about the passing of your husband and father. Charlie was such a caring and loving person, we feel priviledged to have been friends and neighbors for many years. We cannot begin to understand how difficult a time this must be for you all. Your greatest comfort will be the memories of a wonderful and loving husband and dad.

I'm so sorry for your loss, Nancy. I always looked forward to seeing both of you at our NAL Alumni Reunions. At our reunion last September, Charlie seemed quite proud when he told me he would be 80 on his next birthday. I hardly believed him!
