I grew up hearing him referred to as Danny. He and my dad shared a room as students both at Dal and at Pine Hill, and dad was touched when Danny sent flowers as dad was leaving us a few years ago. The MacQueen family will always remember him fondly.

Father Dan baptized our son Sam in 1985 with his wonderful Vera present along with many others instrumental in my life at the time. Dan was a pivotal mentor in my spiritual awareness in those early years. Despite geographic difficulties in maintaining physical contact, your influence Dan in my life has been tremendous. For your example as a father, husband and priest....and friend....thank you. Peace to you as you journey with our Creator.

My deepest condolences to the family and friends of Father Dan. He was such a wonderful witness to the love, mercy and grace of Jesus Christ. His work in building up God's Kingdom will be remembered and oh what wonderful things will happen to him when Christ returns. Father Dan supported my entry into ministry in the United Church of Canada and I tried to walk in his footsteps. Blessings to you all.

Dr. Matheson married us in June, 1976 at Westboro United Church in Ottawa. He was truly a lovely soul and we were saddened to read of his passing. He lived a wonderful life and touched many lives during his time on earth. We last saw Dr. Matheson when he showed up to reconnect with our family at my father's retirement. We were thrilled to be able to introduce him to our three sons. God bless him. Our thoughts are with his family and friends.
