John Clive
(April 9, 1956 - April 25, 2012)
of Carp, at age 56
It is with the greatest sadness that we announce the sudden passing of John Clive Bevan. John Clive was born in Wales and immigrated to Canada in 1958. He was the devoted and much loved husband of Rineke (Catherine) Coumans. Loving brother to Eudene Luther and Constance Bevan. He will also be greatly missed by brothers-in-law Ton Coumans and Brian Griffith, sister-in-law Karin de Kip and his father-in-law Mathieu Coumans, as well as nephews and nieces Justin, Julie, Trevor, Taran, Kara, and Ernesto and many great-nephews and nieces. He is predeceased by his parents John and Shirley Bevan, sister Alison, brother-in-law John Luther and mother-in-law Riet Coumans. John was a pilot, mountain climber, scuba diver, guitar player, song writer, and travelled extensively with his wife Rineke. We are comforted in our grief by knowing that John Clive lived life to the fullest, loved and was loved. A Funeral Mass for John Clive will be held at Holy Name of Mary Catholic Church in Almonte on Saturday, May 26, 2012 at 2 pm with reception to follow.

John and family,
It is with deep regret and sadness to have found out about my colleague's passing away. John's wit and dry sense of humour were always something that I would look forward to at work. He was so very kind ,caring , laid back and had a zest for life. The airplane ride never did happen,however,the offer was appreciated. I wish to offer my condolences to his immediate family.

I have just found out today that Clive passed on. I am deeply saddened. Even though I was around him only a very little in the beginnings of my life, he left a huge impression on me. I will always be impressed with his kindess and the respect he shared with me. I last saw him at my grandmothers funeral, his Aunt Audrey's funeral and had a nice chat. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

My heart is sad. John Clive was a great guy. He provided many hours of entertainment and friendship over the past 20 plus years. I miss his chuckle, his chats in the hall, his great one-liners, and his crazy singing Christmas tree. Cheer loud from heaven John Clive.
