I had the pleasure of getting to know
Jim during our years at Carleton. While he was a good student and an excellent Ravens football player I confess to being rather mediocre at both. During subsequent years Jim and I became good friends and managed to get together periodically for a round of golf and the odd lunch. You couldn't have asked for a nicer guy. He will be missed.

Jim and I were team mates on the Ravens football team in the late 50's. He was one of the best players on the team. I was not. He was tough but played by the rules. A true sportsman in every sense of the word. He was a role model for all of us.
Sincere condolences to Kathy and the family

I knew Jim through our mutual involvement with the British Isles Family History Society of Greater Ottawa. He was well-informed on all aspects of Irish family history and research and was always willing and able to assist others. Always interesting to speak with, I will miss Jim. My prayers are with the family.

Kathy & Family: I am truly sorry for the passing of a long time friend Jimmy. I recall Jim playing 2nd base and also in football with our old school "High School of Commerce". Jimmy was always such a delight, pleasant, helpful, top of the class in smarts. My sincere condolences on your loss.

Dear Lynn family,
My deepest sympathy on the loss of your dear Jim. Both my husband and I worked at City Hall with his brother Bill. I remember how dedicated Bill and Jim were with their Mom. My brother-in-law Gerry played hockey (American league) years ago. Take care.
My sincere condolences to my family on the loss of this kind, gentle, funny and brilliant man. Will miss you Uncle Jim.
