My deepest sympathy to the Ebata family on the loss of your husband, Dad, and Grandfather. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

My fondest memory of Mr. Ebata is during university when Susan and I would borrow his car. It was the coolest car on the market and "talked" to the driver (eg. "A door is ajar".) Susan and I had a lot of good times with that car!

I also remember Mr. Ebata's love of computers (he had a Commadore 64 that he programmed!) and photography - he spent many hours in the darkroom developing his pictures. Susan inherited his love of photography and loves to take pictures.

My sincere condolence to the Ebata family. I've met Toyo a number of times at the Yoshida home in Whitby, and he was so memorable with his welcoming smile and interesting conversation. He was a wonderful person and a good human being. At times like this its so hard to say goodbye to a good father and husband. Please know my thoughts are with your family.... So sad.....our next door neighbor (Gwen) in Ottawa on my left, wrote me to tell me my neighbor to the right...... died Sunday. I certainly did think a lot of Toyo. He was a lot of fun to talk with. He and I gardened together and we were able to share a lot of things..... I will certainly miss him this spring as I begin my garden. I will plant some extra seed and plant Jane (his wife) some tomato plants....Toyo loved growing tomato plants for his wife.....but, he did not like to eat tomatoes..... himself.

Love,

Judy and Jack Wynne

We remember Toyo as a gentle man who was quick to smile and even quicker to share his smile with those around him. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family at this time.
