Donald J. Krotzer

Donald J. Krotzer, 80, of Midland, died Sunday, Aug. 23, 2015, at MidMichigan Medical Center. Donald was born June 25, 1935, to the late Gerald and Marie (Carl) Krotzer. On Aug. 5, 1955, Donald married Doraline Smith.

Donald was a brick layer/mason for Collision, Clark, and Gerace for over 40 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, farming, woodworking, and loved his tractors.

Surviving Don are his wife, Doraline; son, Kenneth (Carolyn) Krotzer; daughters, Sue (Mike) Strayer and Judy (Brian) Holly; grandchildren, Jennifer (Joe) Rubenacker, Chris Strayer, Angie (Alan) McCullagh, Nick (Amanda) Strayer, Sheri (Robbie) Satterstrom, Christina Krotzer (Sr. Rose Marie), Brent Krotzer, Kelly Spangler, and Kevin Spangler; and 10 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother, Howard Krotzer.

Donald was proceeded in death by his sisters, June Rose Alexander and Eva Davis; and brothers, Carl, Dutch, Ray, and Lawrence Krotzer.

A funeral service will be held at Floyd Church of God Thursday, Aug. 27, 2015 at 11 a.m. with Pastor William Caroffino officiating. Friends may visit with the family at Smith-Miner Funeral Home on Wednesday, Aug. 26, 2015 from 4-7 p.m. and Thursday at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
