I hope this is not to late to be read. Bill ans I and two other PFC's shared a room at Oberlin College. We've been in touch through E-Mail for a number of years. To Bill's family I extend my very sad "I'm sorry for your loss". His passing was a loss for everyone life he touched.

Prof. Girouard was more than a teacher. He was a friend. He was as concerned, if not more so, for his students' development as a person as well as an engineer. You will be greatly missed. RIP my friend.

A blessing to all who knew him and joy to have as a professor. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and experience with your students and colleagues. With fond memories we remember how Prof. Girouard and his wife would open up their home and recognize the IE graduates for their accomplishments. Your inspiration and encouragement has touched so many lives in the Cal Poly and IE community. You will be missed. Keeping his wife and family in our prayers.

You shared your knowledge and life experience with your students and whether you were sharing your experiences as an IE or as an officer during WWII I always learned something. You supported my pursuit of higher education with a reference letter to SC, and have been an invaluable mentor. You will be missed, God bless.
