John Dibble Obituary

LT. JOHN P. DIBBLE, SR. Lt. John P. Dibble Sr. United States Navy retired, passed away September 29, 2010 at the age of 83. John passed in his home surrounded by his loving family. Although dearly missed, he rests in peace with our Lord. John was born August 06, 1927 in Los Angeles. John was raised in San Bernardino and attended San Bernardino High School. He enlisted in the United States Navy June 25, 1945 and retired June 1, 1971. John served his country on 10 Naval vessels in WWII, the Korean War, and the Vietnam War. While serving his country, he received a Good Conduct Medal, Korean Service Medal, Korean Presidential Unit Citation, National Defense Service Medal, United Nations Service Medal, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, American Area Campaign Medal, China Service Medal, and the Victory Medal (WWII). After retiring from the Navy he co-owned a print shop in Riverside. John enjoyed reading books, cooking and carpentry. John left behind his wife of 62 years Maxine Dibble. John and Maxine have resided in Riverside since 1973. John leaves behind his son John Dibble Jr. of Riverside, his daughter Janiece Dibble, 5 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren. Arrangements have been made by Acheson & Graham Garden of Prayer Mortuary in Riverside. Funeral to be held at Riverside National Cemetery Tuesday October 5th at 10:30am.
