LLOYD RICHARD (STEVE) STEPHENSON Age 90, resident of Riverside, CA for 30 years, passed away Nov. 10, 2010. Lloyd was born Nov. 27, 1919 in Dilworth, Oklahoma. He retired from the Santa Fe Railroad in 1980 after 40 years of service. As a WWII Veteran he received the Naval Point System, Victory Medal and American Area Campaign Medal. Lloyd was a member of First Christian Church, Riverside; Masonic Temple, Wellington Kansas; BPOE Wellington, Kansas; VFW. Lloyd is survived by his wife, W. Ruth Stephenson of Riverside, CA; daughters, Kathy Burinda of Colorado and Vicki Garcia of Riverside, CA; 2 grandchildren, Stephanie Hays of Colorado and Amber Desormeau of Virginia; 3 great-grandchildren, Courtney Garcia-Hays, Joshua Hays of Colorado and Abigail Desormeau of Virginia. Funeral 11/19/2010, 12:30pm at First Christian Church, 4055 Jurupa Ave., Riverside, CA with private burial at Riverside National Cemetery. Dear Ruth, Kathy, and Vicki, We would like to express our love for you all at Steve's passing. His presence made 7th street a better place to grow up in. I always remember the whole neighborhood gang watching Howdy Doody on tv in your living room. You all are surrounded by happy memories.
