Todd Wuest Obituary

Todd Ryan Wuest, 39, of Port Townsend passed away on April 16, 2011, of cardiac arrest.

He was born at Harrison Hospital, Bremerton, Washington, on January 8, 1972, to Ronald Eugene and Wilma Marlene (Petersen) Wuest.

Todd graduated from Port Townsend High School in 1990, was a 1992 graduate of MMI, Phoenix, Arizona, and an Olympic University graduate of the ServSafe Food Management program. He was employed as a dietary specialist.

Though they never chose to marry, Kacey Bauers, the mother of his two children, held a special place in his heart.

Todd enjoyed spending time with family and friends, especially time spent with his two children. He loved to fish, camp and barbecue; the time spent with family doing all three were the best times possible for him.

A barbecue will be held in his honor after the memorial.

He is survived by his son, Trent Alexander Wuest; daughter, Emily Lynn Wuest; brother, Tomey A. Smith of Seattle, Washington; and sisters, Marlene F. Smith of Port Townsend, Ronnie L. Wuest of Port Townsend, Marla J. Smith of Oregon and Donna C. Benson of Port Townsend.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ronald E. Wuest and Wilma Marlene Wuest; and brother, Keith Eugene Wuest.

A celebration of life will be held Sunday, May 1, 2011, 3 p.m., at Building 204, Fort Worden, Port Townsend. A potluck reception will follow.

Todd you meant more to me than you ever knew. You were my best friend Ronnie's baby brother and I loved you so much. I was lucky to have met you all those years ago when my parents, Dave & Renee Mosier (Whitchurch), coached soccer for the Jefferson County recreational department in Port Townsend, WA. We were children and that day over a muddy soccer ball was the start of what would prove to be a life long friendship full of loving, teasing, fighting and blessed memories. I am sorry to see you go so soon, but I know you are now with my son, Kavin Lorand Hanscom, and are looking out for him while I can't and that gives me a sense of peace and comfort. With all my heart and love, Mishi
