ADA M. (nee D'Amico)

Age 91, of South Phila., passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 18, 2018, surrounded by her loving family. Ada was born on December 11, 1926 in Alfedena, Italy to Amelia (née Persia) and Ugo D'Amico. She was a lifelong resident of South Philadelphia and a longtime member of St. Monica Catholic Church, Philadelphia.
Ada was the beloved wife of her one and only love of 58 years, the late Bernard V. Rock of Ashland PA. She is survived by her 3 loving children, Kathryn (Joseph) Tierno, Lillian Rock, and Bernard A. Rock; 5 "very attached" grandchildren, Amy Cameron (Ian), Gina Tierno, Kristine, Michael and Andrew Rock; and 2 amazing great-grandchildren, Arielle and Tyler Cameron. Ada is also survived by her dear and loving sister, Lillian (Joseph) DeStefano, and dear "brother"-in-law, Rudy (Ann) Rauco, ther brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law and many nieces and nephews, especially her favorite niece and Godchild, Debbie (Larry) Ross.
Ada will be fondly remembered by family and friends as a loving mother, caring grandmother, and dear friend. Ada loved life, was an avid reader but especial-ly loved spending time with her family and friends. She will be greatly missed.

Farewell Ceremony

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Viewing on Sunday from 6 to 8 P.M., and Monday, 9 to 10 A.M., at McGUINNESS WASHINGTON TWP. FUNERAL HOME, 573 Egg Harbor Road, Washington Twp. N.J. (800-993-0888). Mass of Christian Burial, 11:30 A.M., St. Monica Church, 2422 S 17th St., Philadelphia PA 19145. Interment St. Joseph's Cemetery, Chews Landing NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Ada's charity/ Lillian's Special Needs Group: "Calvary Chapel of Gloucester County" (please note 'Friends for Life Ministry' on the memo line) and mail to 573 Egg Harbor Road, Sewell NJ 08080.
