We are deeply sorry for Dr. Horenstein's friends and family. My husband was a patient of Dr. Horenstein when the good doctor became ill, and we knew it was serious when he passed Wayne on to another doctor, but we didn't want to pry. He was the best -- smart, caring, patient, a great listener, understanding. What a great loss to medicine, to those who knew him and to the world.

I just learned of Richard's passing from a colleague. We spent a few years together at University of Maryland in our Endocrinology journey. He was such a sweet, interesting man. I'm so glad I had a chance to know him. Lots of love being sent to his family.

It's been two years since Dr. Horenstein passed away. I still miss him. He was a warm, caring person and the best endocrinologist I ever had. I still can't find an endocrinologist I feel treats me correctly . I hope Dr. Horenstein is resting in peace and that memories of him are a source of comfort to his family.

Shirley and Mitchell
I am deeply sorry for the passing of Richard.
Ithink of the day we met at Jefferson and he told me you were his parents.
He was a very nice young man who praised both of you.

To the Horenstein family,
I am deeply saddened by the loss of Richard. I met Richard over 15 years ago while training with him at the University of Maryland. We have been neighbors at 960 Fell Street as well for many years. He has been a wonderful neighbor and friend through the years. I will miss his quiet, kind, and gentle spirit. Please know that many of us here in Baltimore are keeping him in our prayers!
