JOHN J. JR., of Somerton, on Dec. 21, 2009. Beloved husband of Anna (nee Schill), loving father of Donna Zimmie (Keith McCabe), Anna McGill (John) and John J. Zimmie III; also survived by his 11 wonderful grandsons and his faithful companions Max and Charlie. Family, friends and members of F.O.P. Lodge #5 are invited to John's Life Celebration Sat. beginning 9 A.M. at St. Christopher Church, 13301 Proctor Rd., Phila. followed by his Funeral Mass 10 A.M. Int. private. In lieu of flowers a donation to Holy Redeemer Hospice, 12265 Townsend Rd., Phila. PA 19154 would be appreciated by the family.

I worked with John at SmithKline. Although we worked in different departments I always looked forward to our little chats. John had a great sense of humor which I enjoyed thoroughly. My condolences to his family.

My name is Sal DeAngelo a long time friend of John. I was so sorry to learn of his passing.I was away for the New Year and did not know until I went to FOP meeting on Jan.12th. ....He will be missed... I will be going to Malvern Retreat shortly and will place his name on the alter of rememberance.Our prayers are with you and your family.

Ann and family, so sorry to hear of johns passing,john was the go to guy when you wanted or needed something in the police department.
john was a great family man and a good friend,may god bless his wife and family for their loss,all of you will always be in my prayers.
