Philadelphia has lost a true legal legend. Not only was Perry a creative thinker, an exceptional gentlemen, and a true inspiration, his steadfast outlook and humor, provided me the vision to strive to be the best at my endeavors. We are all blessed to have been a part of Perry's world.

I am a better lawyer having been mentored by Perry Bechtle. I am also a better person having known and learned from him. I have alot of company in both regards. God bless you, Perry.

A hail fellow, well met, if there ever were. A man of great accomplishments who wasted none of his time to tell you of them. He was a true gentlemen, a gracious mentor and an inspiration to those who would aspire to take up the mantle of responsibility as a trial lawyer. I count myself fortunate for the opportunity to have learned from and known such a fine lawyer and human being. Rest well, Perry. Life's race well run, Life's work well done, Life's reward well won.

I knew Perry Bechtle as a federal court employee back in 1969 while he was an excellent trial lawyer and first class gentleman.
Throughout our professional association he always displayed the reason why Philadelphia lawyers are held in such high regard.

Perry offered a rare combination of inspiration, integrity, insight, and opportunity to all of us who worked with him. He taught lessons by word and example that endure and come to mind almost every day. My prayers and sympathies to his family.

Perry was always available to lend sound advice and counsel. His door was always open, He was a friend to all and one of the best in court. He will be remembered in my prayers.

A gracious and honorable guy. A typically humble yet heroic veteran. I loved that he loved being a lawyer. So many in our profession are disillusioned and unhappy. He was unabashed in his satisfaction with his career and the good he accomplished wielding the sword of his bar membership. I draw inspiration from his attitude. I will miss him.

I worked with Mr. Bechtle at LaBrum and Doak when I was very young. I always thought of him as a top notch lawyer. Everyone in the firm loved him. My prayers go out to his extended family.

He was a mentor, example and provided me support in a time of need. He was the most charming man I ever met.
Our prayers go out to the family.
