I still think about Dr. Asbel and I'm saddened by his passing. I wish he was still alive so that we could chat on the phone about our common interests. He was a doctor who would actually TOUCH your body and tell you what to do to heal yourself. Now-a-days the doctors sit at their computers and give you a prescription. He seemed physically fit and I wanted to be just like him. I can't understand why he died so soon. God Bless you, Dr. Asbel, and Happy New Year to his family with good health for all.

To Ruth and the Asbel family, I am so sorry for your loss. What a kind, wonderful, knowledgeable physician and family man he was. I learned so much from him and he had such a great sense of humor. I was privileged to know him and learn from him. Bettina Power

I just learned of the untimely demise of David. He was a beloved, and respected, primary care physician. I was honored to be one of his colleagues at the Bryn Mawr Hospital, as well as sharing his company as a sincere friend.
We will miss him very much!
Our sincere condolences to dear Ruth, and all of David's family.

To Ruth, Stephen, and all of Dr. Asbel's family, please accept my sincerest condolences. My late wife Lucie and I were his patients for many years before he retired. He was a wonderful doctor who gave good practical advice. I still follow the exercises he gave me for my knees. I was born in June, 1934. When I visited his office he would ask "When were you born?". I answered "Three weeks before you, Junior". We talked about gardening and growing tomatoes. Sometimes I'd meet him while shopping at Gentile's. I live in California now, but something told me to Google him. I was shocked and saddened to learn of his passing. I will have the fondest memories of him. I hope to see him again and talk about our tomatoes. God Bless you all.
Warmly, Joseph L. Kozikowski
