To Chip, Nancy, and family....Your Father lived a long and happy life and was cared for and loved by all who knew him. I am sure he is smiling down upon you, thankful for the life he led, family that loved, football that he treasured, and having been lucky to have been here. He was a beloved man, husband, father, grandfather, son, great grandfather, and friend. Be eased in this time by the comfort of the wonderful times you shared.

Chip, Mike, Brian and Joyce,
I was saddened when I heard the news about your father, and extend my deepest sympathy to you and your entire family. Your Dad was one of the most influential people in my life and I owe him a debt of gratitude. If it were not for him I never would have become a teacher and coach, nor would I have had the success that I achieved during my career. Your Father was a wonderful role model and inspirational leader for me. I will be forever grateful.

Mr. Mackrides was a gracious & kind man. He definitely followed the golden rule in the Bible to "treat others the way you would like to be treated." I knew the Mackrides family during my high school years and can attest that Mr. Mackrides was a stellar husband, Dad and treated his students with great respect. I am confident his children will carry on his legacy.

I loved him so much. I'm so happy I got to say goodbye. I know everyone in his family will miss him. He loved children, and he inspired many. One time while visiting him at White Horse, a little girl was there visiting someone else. Even with the Alzheimer's, he still loved kids. He reached in his pocket and pulled out smarties and gave them to her. He was kind and generous. He will always and forever be in my heart. He is at peace now. This is my favorite picture of him. Young, eager, ready. M39 forever.

To all the Mackrides family, I am so very sorry for your loss. Your parents were a big part of my childhood. They were my favorite couple. Your mother was an important role model for me and I miss her so much. They had a wonderful life together and raised an amazing family. Your parents live on in all of us who knew them. Your Dad was our high schools football coach and a man my brother had so much respect for the manner in which he treated others and inspired the football players on and off the field. May you find peace in knowing how much he was loved.
