My heart was sadden by the news of Joeseph. I only met him a few times but his mom was like a second mother to me. Her words of wisdom always helped me in raising my own daughter and now if I could sacrifice some of my good moments for a few moments of peace for you I would Ms. Mya. Joe is still with you in spirit he will never leave his family. He was a protector and will continue to watch over you from heaven.

My deepest sympathy goes out to the family. My we've known each other for over 14 years and I have enjoyed our friendship. I can remember when Joseph was a little boy and as time went by he grew older but he keep the great qualities you instilled in him. I admired his mannerism, volunteering at Sentara, and just being the respectful young man that you raised. He will be missed but never forgotten. My prayers and thoughts are with you and your family. Ah Joe. We had good times in Chemistry at Bayside. Always had me laughing, never had a bad memory of you. Wish you didn't have to leave so soon. You're were such a wonderful, intelligent, handsome young man trying to make the better of oneself. This is going to hurt me for a while but I'll try not cry. Joseph, I miss you. I can't imagine KL MS without your silly jokes, or high school swim meets without your encouragement. You always had me beat on fly, even with the shoulder injuries. You gave some of the best hugs, and I am upset that I can't give you just one more. You are an amazing individual and I will always keep you in my heart.
I'd give anything to give you another hug right now.
I know you're probably looking down at us all with the Big Guy upstairs—making jokes and laughing at our inability to understand Vietnamese, but hey, I'll see you again one day and maybe we can laugh together.
To Joseph's family and friends: you are all in my thoughts and prayers. Let us continue to support each other in both our times of need and everyday life.

It is strange to think Joe is really gone. Albeit short the time I knew him, he was a man full of potential and authenticity.I feel only profound sadness knowing he is no longer with us.
May we find the strength in one another to get through this time of grief and may we bond together as one family.

I'm so glad that I had the opportunity to see Khuong again, after so many years, when he stopped by our house last December. He was no longer the little kid that I remembered, but had grown up into the fine young man that he was. My heartfelt condolences to Chu Khoa & Co Hanh. I know that you love Khuong very much and I am deeply saddened because of your loss.

Khuong was a dear friend of mine back in the days of Thieu Nhi Thanh The. He was my partner in everything, but somehow we lost touch after the program stopped. I am deeply saddened to hear this news that he has passed, and I can only pray that he is at peace with God now. Khuong, you will be missed by everyone, especially me. Joe was my student in a philosophy course at VT last year. He was bright and engaged even in the early hours of the morning. I worked him hard and he worked me harder to meet and exceed my expectations, and he earned my and his classmates' trust through dedication and commitment. Joe was one of the most amazing people I have ever met and without a doubt my best friend. He could always tell when something was upsetting me and would do whatever he could to make it better or at least to make me laugh. I honestly cannot imagine the last seven years of my life without Joe. We did so much together, quite literally hand in hand. He was a fixture in my life to the point that my family considered him one of our own. I love him dearly and always will. To me, this isn't goodbye. He lives on in my heart and in my memories. My thoughts are with his family and his friends, especially Wolf Pack and the Corps of Cadets. I don't have the words to express how thankful that I am to have known Joe, however briefly it has been. I miss him so much already. I can only hope that he has found peace.

I remember meeting Joe while swimming with him at Bayside. He showed me how to push through physical pain and injury and still come out on top in the middle of a race. I love Joe, and I hope that all family members and friends have support through this. He deserves our best. I would love to come down and play amazing grace on the bagpipes for the service.

Joe Ngo had to be one of my all time favorite students. He was a critical thinker and his altruism is unmatched. Teachers wake up daily to listen to students like Joe. I cannot imagine the world without him. My heart goes out to his family.

I've known Joseph since we were little kids. He was my childhood friend. I still have old birthday pictures and video footages of Joseph and me. It seems like it was yesterday when Joseph and I were really young and we would play around at my house whenever he came over. Even though we grew apart from each other, I think about him from time to time. I can't believe that he is truly gone. I'll pray for you and your family. I will always cherish our childhood memories. Joe, I already miss you so much. Even today I can repeat your voice in my head saying some of your little phrases. Being your friend these past few years has been truly unforgettable.

I never knew Joseph Ngo, but my cadet dorm mates did. I've been told that Ngo was a great student, a great cadet, and a great leader. I know his presence in the Virginia Tech Corp of Cadets has made an impact on the lives of many other young cadets, and with his passing, his influence will remain in their lives. I wish only the best for his family, and to let them know that there are many people who care for Joseph. May he rest in peace.

Joe Ngo was very loved and cared for. He touched may lives. He will never be replaced or forgotten by anyone who knew him. He was a part of a group that called themselves the "Wolf Pack." The other three are Joshua Kim, Bobby McDonald, and Kiefer Mattox. They were always together it seemed like. Joe was, by far, one of a kind. He is greatly missed and loved by all.
