VINCE AND I GREW UP TOGETHER, WENT THRU HICKORY ELEMENTARY AND GREAT BRIDGE HIGH AS CLASSMATES, PLAYED FOOTBALL TOGETHER, AND THEN SERVED IN THE 7TH INFANTRY DIVISION IN SOUTH KOREA TOGETHER. THRU THE FIRST 35 YEARS OF MY LIFE HE WAS MY CLOSEST FRIEND. WE PARTED FOR A PERIOD BUT WHEN I RETURNED TO THE OUTER BANKS IN 1999 WE PICKED RIGHT UP WHERE WE LEFT OFF. HE WAS A BLESSING TO BE WITH AND AROUND AND LEAVES US HAVING CONTRIBUTED SIGNIFICANTLY TO WHO WE EACH ARE.

Vince was not only a good friend he was family - we will truly miss him - we shared alot of the same interests such as our love of nature and talking about cooking - Vince truly lived by his code which was to live today with all that it brought and not worry about tomorrow until tomorrow - I am so very glad that he had 14 years of retirement which he enjoyed each and every day. Vince you may be gone but you will not be forgotten!!!!!

Vince was a good friend and great guy. He was a joy to everyone around him and a creator of fond memories. It is hard to think of the times spent at Nags Head fishing and not smile; the many stories will live on. He will be missed.
The family is in our thoughts and prayers.

This goes to Vince's daughters. I am your father's former hair stylist until I moved to PA, last summer. I am very sorry for your loss. I really enjoyed your Dad. He spoke so highly of you and he was extremely proud of you both. Of course his granddaughter was included in the bragging. I saw him for a cut every 4 weeks for a number of years. I used the hot towel and hot lather he loved sooo much. When we moved, your father was one of the people I was sad to leave. My prayers of comfort are with you, Vicki Arcieri
