Jim and I worked together at EVMS for a lot of years. He was an outstanding friend and a super surgeon and teacher. I want to send my very best to his family, as I know many of them and I know that all of us will have many fond memories of him.

Jim served so many in so many ways. For me a trustworthy
colleague, a helper when I needed help, a gracious guide, a fine physician and surgeon, and especially a teacher and molder of young students. Louise and I send our best to his family during this time of loss.

I had the distinct pleasure of getting to know Dr. Lind much later in his life. We spoke most mornings in the dining room about many things but most often about flowers, growing orchids (my husband's passion) and our big plans for a garden we were going to plant outside the dining room in the spring so that I could harvest the bounty and use the fresh vegetables and herbs in the dining room. I will be thinking about him when I plant my garden this spring. What a beautiful passionate man. My thoughts and prayers are with his lovely wife and family at this difficult time.
