Sylvia E. Forehand MURFREESBORO - Sylvia Louise Eure Forehand, 77, of the 400 block of East High St., died Oct. 30, 2008, in Guardian Care of Ahoskie. Mrs. Forehand was born in Gates County, North Carolina, a daughter of the late Dewey Eure and Mittie Eure Miller. She was a member of Murfreesboro Baptist Church. Sylvia received her operating room technician license from Sentara Norfolk General Hospital and worked for a while as an operating room technician, but spent most of her life as a homemaker and mother. Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Cecil M. "Brother" Forehand Jr.; a daughter, Yvonne F. Warren and husband Junius of Murfreesboro, N.C.; a son, Cecil M. "Mac" Forehand III and wife Karen of Rock Hill, S.C.; grandchildren, Jason Warren, Brad Warren, Thomas Forehand and Ashley Forehand; and a loving brother, Andy Melvin of Richmond, Va. She is also survived by a special aunt, Polly Brady of Winton, N.C.; and a niece, Sheila Stallings of Harrellsville, N.C. Besides her parents, Mrs. Forehand was predeceased by a special brother, Carter Eure. A celebration service of Mrs. Forehand's life will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday in Murfreesboro Baptist Church, with the Rev. Lee Canipe officiating. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the home, 402 E. High St. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Murfreesboro Baptist Church, Chowan University or the Elizabeth Sewell Parker Library. Life is full of ups and downs, neither is permanent. Mrs. Forehand was a good wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother and friend. She will be greatly missed. Garrett Funeral Home, Ahoskie, is serving the Forehand family.

Brother, Yvonne and Mac:
My heart sank when I received the phone call on Thursday that my "See-Ah" had passed. Our families have shared some of the best memories ever and I hope a reflection of our shared past will carry each of you forward. Sylvia was such a special person to Vickie, Pattie and me growing up. She always welcomed us with a caring smile and had such a great sense of humor. I cherish ALL of our family memories and Svlvia will always live in my heart and prayers forever.

May God Bless Each of You-
