I met Tom through the Norfolk Master Gardeners when he was Project Chair of the Virginia State Fair. With his organization, dedication, and sunny smile, he lead many Master Gardeners to their first State Fair. All returned with great praise for the Fair and Tom.
I then worked with Tom at the NMG Booth at the Home-A-Rama this last fall. He was a trooper and told me to call on him whenever we needed help. We had good talks during that time and I realized how informative Tom was - on many subjects. I am so glad that our paths crossed and I am also sad that I will not be seeing him again. Your family is in my thoughts and prayers.

I am very sorry to hear of Tom's death. When he was an INS Agent, he was always willing to respond whenever a police officer called him re a question about an immigration matter. As I was an NPD officer, our paths often crossed. My father was the OIC of the Norfolk Immigration office in the 1960s and my brother was a Special Agent in the INS, so Tom and I enjoyed talking about people we both knew within the INS family. While his retirement from the INS left a great void in the law enforcement community , his death will certainly leave a great void in the lives of all who knew him. My sincerest condolences to his family.

So sorry to hear about Tommy's sudden death. I grew up with Tom and Frank and went to school with both of the Sochor boys. Enjoyed great times in both grade school and at Norfolk Catholic High. Later in life I worked with Tom while I was a Norfolk, Va. police officer and he was a federal law enforcement officer. Tom was a great man and I am proud and honored to have known him. May he rest in eternal peace in the Father's heavenly home. My thoughts and prayers are with Tom's family. Charlie Cameron
