Eugenia S. Shanklin

Virginia Beach - Eugenia S. Shanklin passed away peacefully on June 4, 2015 at the age of 78.

Left to cherish her memory is her sister Virginia Evans; children, Gerald E. Spivey, Jr. & wife Wendy, E. Jefferson Spivey & partner Kathy Kinney, Jennifer S. Puente & husband Ray, and Allison S. Cramer & husband Rob.

Gena was a devoted wife to the late Jospeh P. Shanklin. She was also preceded in death by her sister Marion Backus. Gena was a loving mother, sister, friend, and a proud grandmother of 10 and great grandmother of 9. She was a long-time member of Royster Memorial Presbyterian Church.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, June 12 at 11 am in Altmeyer Funeral Home, 5792 Greenwich Road, Virginia Beach, with the Rev. John Monroe officiating.

In lieu of flowers, please make memorial donations to Royster Memorial Presbyterian Church, 6901 Newport Ave, Norfolk, VA 23505.
