MACKINAW - Alan L. Sweckard, 49, of Mackinaw, Ill., died Wednesday, Oct. 24, 2012, in Spokane, Wash.
Alan was born July 17, 1963, in Bloomington to Gerald and Linda Shonk Sweckard. He married Angela Cox.
Alan is survived by his mother, Linda Sweckard of Mackinaw; two brothers, Tom and Joe Sweckard of Mackinaw; two stepsons, Mike and Nate McKinney of Pekin; one grandmother, Joanna Shonk of Mackinaw; and several nephews and a niece.
Alan was preceded in death by his father, Gerald; one brother, Michael; and three grandparents.
Alan was a truck driver for Schuster Trucking in Le Mars, Iowa. Cremation rites have been accorded. Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 12 at Mackinaw Township Cemetery. The Rev. Dave Jassman will officiate. The family will greet friends from 3 to 5 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 11, at Haensel Funeral Home in Mackinaw. Memorials may be made to Alan Sweckard Memorial Fund at First Security Bank in Mackinaw.
