I still have the pictures of our quartet hanging in my music room. I have a whole bunch of pictures taken at contest time in Peoria. Jimmie always had a great smile. Too bad we lost him at such a young age. Gary Rice

My prayers are for the Krones family in their great loss. May time heal your sorrow as you remember being at the center of Jim's world. I met Jim while he was superintending interior modifications at the JGM Water Facility administration building where I was employed. With a smile he worked purposefully with his crew doing the paper work over lunch and bringing the project in ahead of schedule. He consented to help me expand the kitchen in my home. Working together we often sang to the radio or itunes, he was on key and my lips were moving. I also attended several of his concerts and it was apparent he greatly enjoyed performing professionally. We were planning on remodeling the entire interior of my house when Jim got sick. Those plans are now on indefinite hold. How do you replace a craftsman and friend? His handiwork is a constant reminder of the renaissance man that touched my life.

I would like to send my deepest sympathy to the Krones family at the passing of Jim. As orchestra director, I watched him and Joe grow up at PHS and go through the choir program as well as singing barbershop. May God give you strength during this time of loss.

We wish to extend our deepest sympathies to the Krones family. We have been out of touch for about 10 years, but the memories of our friendships are still vivid. Singing with Jimmy in Quarterly Review was one of the highlights in singing Barbershop for me.

My prayers are with the Krones family. My sons Carl, Jeff sang with Jim and the Barbershop chorus and Jeff and Tom attended school with Jim. They have some very fond memories of the family, as do I. May God give you peace in your loss.
