I was sadden to learn of the passing of your BELOVED father, Mr. Maurice Preston, Sr. He was such a nice person. I remember when we were students at Jackson State University, how he took us to the Greyhound Bus Station in Chicago to go back to school. May you and your family cherish the precious memories that he left behind, and know that he is in GOD's care now. Thank GOD for the 94 years of service here on earth, and know that earth has no sorrow that heaven cannot heal. May GOD continue to strengthen and keep you and your family. I will continue to keep you and your family in my prayers.

I was so sorry to hear about Mr. Preston. My memories of him is singing in the choir at First AME Church. Maurice and I go back to our years at Andrean. Mrs. Preston you were so kind when my Mom( Mrs. Colie Jones) and my aunt,Jean Swift, were ill.

Very sorry to hear about the death of Mr. Preston. He and my late father, Clarence R. Currie, served on the Gary School Board together in the late 1970s and early-to-mid 1980s. He was always great to my family.

Uncle Maurice was the life of the party in Pennsylvania. We looked forward to his visits taking the nephews bowling, listening to his knowledge on many topics, shopping and giving us his Hallelujah juice and laughing as he and Auntie lovingly tormented each other. Together, he and Auntie shamed us with their ballroom dancing...my Uncle was smooth and debonir. Uncle Maurice would claim,"It's Isaly's Ice Cream time. The best ice cream in the world!" Away we went to purchase the gooey flavors .
It was 2 months ago Uncle attended his great nephews wedding in Pennsylvania. God and family were everything to him and he lived to share the gospel and greatness of Jesus Christ. He would proclaim to the highest mountain,"If you don't have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, you Have nothing!"
Father God, we thank you for sharing life with Uncle Maurice. God makes no mistakes, THY WILL BE DONE. Without question Uncle Maurice is in God's promised land...God's Kingdom and we rejoice for death is Christ is eternal...never final. We will be together again.
Auntie, yes, we will miss him...especially you having spent 64 precious years as one. Your words are trust, claim and believe. Now we pray for HIS strength to encase you , Kasandra, Maurie and his church family and friends ." Though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil for thou art with me." Uncle Maurice hugs, love and kisses as always . :God said, Come home and rest my faithful servant. Well Done!"

Oh My; just finding out this morning. I'm so sorry to hear of the passing of Mr. Preston. He was such a steadfast Gary, Indiana supporter of Lady Sax®. Always had an encouraging word. While other were asking "Are you still playing?" He was saying "Never Give Up!"
