Stanley E. Johnson

STANLEY E. JOHNSON Age 82 years, a lifelong Hobart resident, passed away Tuesday, January 20, 2004 at Valparaiso Care and Rehabilitation Center. He was a retired union ironworker. He was a member of Augustana Lutheran Church, and a member of American Legion Post #454. He will be remembered by his family as a wonderful husband and brother. Stanley is survived by his beloved wife of 40 years, Anna; sisters, June (Charles) Guettel of Buffalo, NY, Grace (Ted) Kruger of CA, Ethel Erickson of CA; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Agnes North Johnson; brothers, Clark and Robert Johnson. Memorial contributions may be made to Augustana Lutheran Church. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, January 24, 2004 in Augustana Lutheran Church, 207 Kelly St., Hobart, with Rev. Charles R. Strietelmeier, officiating. Burial will follow at Blake Cemetery, Portage. Visiting hours will be 3-8 p.m. Friday, January 23, 2004 in Rees Funeral Home, 600 W. Old Ridge Rd., Hobart, (219)942-2109.
